Welcoming Pope Benedict XVI

The American Bible Society welcomed Pope Benedict XVI on his recent trip to Washington and New York with a special imprint Gospel of Luke. In a letter inside the imprint marking the occasion, Dr. Paul Irwin, president of the Bible Society, saluted "the significant contributions of the Catholic Church in America to the spread of the knowledge of God's Word."
